Our Business Law Group advises clients on planning, formation and structure of corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, unincorporated associations and various types of joint ventures. We regularly assist clients on ownership, operational and control issues, including shareholder agreements, voting trusts, buy sell agreements, personnel law and human resources issues, executive employment agreements and family successorship issues.

Our business lawyers analyze the benefits, risks and other legal implications of proposed transactions. We often work with clients to develop employee benefit plans and incentive compensation plans. The firm has extensive experience in advising our clients in connection with the financing for transactions. In addition, we regularly work on capital transactions for start up businesses, emerging companies, joint ventures and expansions for existing businesses.

We assign each client a business attorney to act as the primary contact for the client. The assigned attorney coordinates work by our specialized practitioners to assure efficient service for our clients and oversees all work for that client to help ensure that all needs of the client are met. Our lawyers often act as general counsel for our clients, managing the legal needs of clients for maximum efficiency, including, when appropriate, retaining and monitoring other counsel outside the firm to handle certain out of state or highly specialized matters.
