Chris Bridge, the Director of PWHD Consulting, has more than 15 years of experience in media relations, community relations and public policy advocacy at federal, state and local levels. She has effective working relationships with legislators and legislative staff, as well as state and local agencies and organizations. She is knowledgeable about regulatory and permit processes, the legislative and budget process and local government.

She specializes in coordinating strategic alliances with individuals and organizations related to specific issues. This approach also offers expanded capabilities for multi-media communications services, business development services, grassroots campaigns and special events management.

Her experience includes service as a lobbyist for Virginia’s railroads, press secretary for Virginia Governor Jerry Baliles, state director and constituent services manager for U.S. Senator Chuck Robb, legislative liaison for several local governments and institutions, and a senior staff advisor for housing and community development programs in Hampton Roads. She staffed Governor Baliles during his tenure as Chairman of the National Governors’ Association, and also managed media relations during several international trade missions led by Governor Baliles and involving more than a dozen Virginia business leaders.

A native of Norfolk, Virginia, she is a cum laude graduate of the State University of New York at Stony Brook and has served on a number of boards for civic, professional and non-profit organizations. She is a current member of the Virginia Board of Medicine. She is a frequent public speaker, has published articles in several magazines, and writes and edits speeches and articles for elected officials and business leaders on a regular basis. She lives in Williamsburg, Virginia.

PWHD Consulting is a full service issues management and public affairs group affiliated with the Patten Wornom Hatten & Diamonstein law firm in Newport News. The principals are two partners in the firm: Alan Diamonstein, who served as Newport News’ representative in the House of Delegates for 33 years and who is nationally recognized for his involvement in housing and community development issues; and Donald Patten, a former Vice-Mayor of the City of Newport News and former President of Virginia Trial Lawyers Association recognized for his leadership in health care issues and real estate partnerships.

Their clients include local governments, non-profit institutions, shipping interests, sports and entertainment organizations, hospitality industry businesses, residential and commercial real estate development firms, technology application businesses and software firms, among others.
