Gary DiMuzio’s entire professional career has been focused towards getting justice for victims of mesothelioma, cancer and other environmental and occupational work place hazards. DiMuzio has also litigated cases involving lung cancer, leukemia, liver cancer, silicosis, plant explosion and huge environmental contamination cases across the nation. He is a guest speaker on the law and science of mesothelioma and asbestos at national legal conferences.

DiMuzio’s J.D. law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 1992 heavily emphasized environmental and occupational contamination law. As a first year law student he clerked with the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) on pollution and environmental impact issues, drafting the first lawsuit filed by EDF in Texas. DiMuzio also concurrently took extensive public health coursework such as toxicology, epidemiology, biostatistics, environmental studies, risk assessment and exposure assessment at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Public Health to be the best possible advocate for his future clients. While still a law student he also worked on environmental issues with Harris County Attorney’s Office Environmental Division/Harris County Pollution Controls lawyers and experts, as well as researching how the courts judged causation science and toxic tort experts for the University of Houston Environmental Liability Law Program. DiMuzio also interned for a Federal judge while researching the impacts of bankruptcy law on environmental issues.

In addition to representing a wide variety of mesothelioma victims, DiMuzio has also litigated chemical and large environmental cases involving many different cancer causing chemicals including benzene, hydrofluoric acid, PAHs, crude oil wastes, TCE, vinyl chloride, styrene tars, creosote and silica.

DiMuzio graduated with an A.A. from Del Mar College (1984) and a B.M. from Texas A & M at Corpus Christi, Texas (1986), with both degrees in Classical Guitar Performance.
