Jason Messersmith was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 2008 and joined the firm’s Business Group that same year. He is a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Virginia Bar Association, the Newport News Bar Association, and the Hampton Bar Association. His practice areas include general civil litigation, business litigation, estate litigation, landlord/tenant matters, personal injury, and traffic/DUI matters.

Mr. Messersmith earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics, cum laude, from Old Dominion University in 2005. Mr. Messersmith earned his Juris Doctor from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary in 2008. While in law school, he was a member of the William and Mary Environmental Law and Policy Review.

Mr. Messersmith currently resides in Hampton with his wife Sarah. He is a native of Hampton and has lived there for more than 30 years, the majority of that time in the Olde Wythe Neighborhood. He currently sits on the Board of the Olde Wythe Neighborhood Association.
