Kris Koletar joined PWHD as an associate attorney in 2019. Mr. Koletar was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 2006, and since that time has focused his practice on Trust and Estate planning and administration, including multi-generational family wealth planning. In addition, Mr. Koletar was previously a FINRA licensed financial advisor and currently holds a Virginia life, health, and annuities insurance license.  His practice has included business formation and succession, special needs planning, fiduciary services, estate accounting, charitable giving, life and long-term care insurance arrangements, and the administration of an international trust.

This experience has allowed Mr. Koletar to develop expertise not only in solving the most common problems clients face when making long-term financial plans, but also in guiding them through the planning and administration process in a way that is easy to understand. He believes an estate plan should ensure that one’s assets are transferred to the right people at the right time, and in the most efficient manner possible. Mr. Koletar recognizes that each client’s needs are different, and takes pride in providing a personalized plan to meet those needs.

He lives in Toano with his wife, Cassondra, and their three children, Peter, Gavin, and Lucy.
