ADAM M. HAWKS

ATTORNEY

Adam Hawks is an associate attorney with Patten, Wornom, Hatten & Diamonstein, L.C. He began working with the firm in 2023 and focuses on representing plaintiffs and their families.

 

Before joining the firm, Adam worked at Washington and Lee’s prestigious Advanced Administrative Litigation Clinic (Black Lung). At the Black Lung Clinic, Adam assisted former coal miners suffering from coal dust-induced lung diseases like pneumoconiosis and silicosis in applying for federal benefits. He helped the former coal miners navigate their cases through the Administrative Law Courts. Adam also served a summer internship with the Federal Public Defender’s Office for the Western District of Virginia. He also served as a Lead Articles Editor with the Journal of Social and Racial Justice.
